Being able to serve my customers with my insurance knowledge is the key. I want my customers to know that they are the most important aspect of my business.  If I do not provide the absolute best customer service and insurance advice, I would not expect the customer to remain with our agency.

My insurance career began in 1990 as a receptionist at my father’s insurance agency.  I have worked my way through every department: claims, personal lines, commercial lines, and life.  These many years later I am infinitely grateful that my father made me earn my way. Through that process I was able to obtain knowledge in all areas of insurance. This is the knowledge that Oakwood Insurance now brings to you.

The Professional Insurance Agents of Wisconsin association has been instrumental in providing outstanding educational resources over the years as well. Eventually I was asked if I would be willing to serve on their Automation Committee and I later ran for their Board of Directors, on which I ended up serving for many years. In 2006 the PIA recognized me as Agent of the Year. Being named Agent of the Year was a very humbling experience for me. This honor makes me immensely proud not for the reasons some might think, but because I made my Dad, John Nolan, proud and for that I am forever grateful.

Insurance policies are contracts between the insured and the insurance company.  At the time of a claim it is my purpose to walk through the claim with them.  My extensive insurance experience provides me with the knowledge necessary to obtain the most coverage available within the insurance contract.  Every policy has gray areas, sections that are not defined, and is open to some interpretation.  Those are the areas that I can navigate and find the best help for the insured.  Not every claim is going to be covered but if it can legally be covered then I’ll make sure it’s the best coverage you’ll find in the market.
